Well I normally do use corn plasters Doreen but I felt I might need something a little warmer for Iceland and as i joined this adventure late i haven't really got time to pack anything else.

I have however knitted a quite unique brace of huskies

Well! the night spent in Gatwick departure lounge is one the airport staff will NEVER forget!

Jean and Doreens inspirational rendition of "When santa got stuck up the chimlee" with percussion from Bernice and ra ra go go dancing by Julie and Eleanor went down a storm.

Starting to be rather concerned as to the whereabouts of LynW and Kathleen- last seen offering "medicinal support" to fellow waiting passengers and a large snake filled tuba on the luggage trolley with my feather boa's strapped onto the back would have been noticable enough but Mary and Lorna doing the Can-Can with frilly spanx long johns was a sight to behold!

I hope you realise that Jean has sold the photos to THE SUN for their alternative advent callendar next yr.....

Door 1= 1 Tuba
Door 2= 1 barrel of "special medicinal support"
Door 3= Sampling the barrel.
Door 4= who gives a stuff! wheres that door 2 barrel?

Think the airport opens tomorrow- One more night of jollies then.....!

When do Lorna & Mary get out of A & E then? I could have told them it was far too dangerous to do the can-can on the luggage conveyor belt.

I got on very well with the other passengers, as I was relatively sober, and at least my dog was well-behaved. Julie`s huskies unravelled long before the singing and dancing began, and no wonder Doreen lost her voice - she certainly didn`t need a microphone, did she? It`s just a pity she forgot half of the words, but it was kind of Suzanne to blow the tuba in an effort to help.

Tonight we`ll have the ceilidh band, and Eleanor has promised to share her special cake, so that should make the party go with a swing.

By the way Jenni, the last time I saw your feather boa it was disappearing down the slot for Katmandu, so you`d best buy another one, unless we make a detour there on the way back from Lapland.

Has anyone told Julie it`s Lapland, not Iceland we`re heading for?

PS I`ve offered Jean a bribe if she holds off selling the pictures yet, but I might need some help - I`ve got her a starring part in the panto at the London Palladium.

Or the brain!!

I'm all for a detour to Katmandu - that is a BRILL idea Kathleen. I saw something on the Gadget show at 4.30 am which really made my eyes light up and will help no end in Katmandu!! Someone has invented a motorised ski with a built in heater - what could be more perfect for acclimatising prior to our assault on Mount Everest? This surely has to be our next gig - can you SEE the pictures taken on Dor's Brownie Box camera from the roof of the world? I'm getting sooooooooo excited. Time to go and sort out some climbing gear ......... reminder: DON'T ask Julie. Any ideas about gear - we have to be very stylish but also safe. I don't want to be dragging Eleanor out of an ice crevass with Lyn's skipping rope anchored to a pair of plastic scissors.

We will need about 10 sherpas each to carry all the stuff - blocks of wine could be heavier than the bottled type.

Hey Jean, that's given me a great idea!

We could fix motorised skis to the wheeled commode, and the heater would definitely be an added bonus!ThumpUp

I've always fancied a sherpa, oops, I mean a trip to Katmandu where the sherpas live.Blushing Blushing The cake is ready with pink icing to match Doreen's new hairdo! Normally I would restrain Lyn with the scissors but really - pink curls intertwined with sparkling glitter and a pump to make it stand upright so that she can pack her hair into her hat!Confused I can never go back to Gatwick again! Whose idea was it to bring in all that snow so that the St Bernard would feel at home? Sad As for that darned snake, well, it at least came in handy when the police tried to eject Jean and Doreen for their raunchy dance with the eggy rolls.Cool

Thank goodness for the commode! Saved a lot of walking having it to hand as it were. Good idea of Lorna's bringing that tent to place over it. I was relieved that Jenni had on her red boots. They were needed when the Irish shinty captain returned from the bar and found Lyn finishing of the hair cuts of the team. Personally I thought that they looked a lot worse than when she started but at least she was leaving me alone. ThumpUp

Jean, that is such a good idea of yours about us having the motorised ski with the built in heater, but I do worry about the gang remembering the antics on skis at the last winter olympics we attended.Huh

By the way, I hope that there will be a ready source of meat for Lyn to cook as I would not like Kathleen's ceilidh band to be in any physical danger.ThumbDown

Anyhow, I am ready any time that we decide. Doreen, could I please get a lift on your broomstick as you are flying south anyway?

x

You are welcome to a lift on my broomstick anytime Eleanor, as long as you bring the cake!

And hold on tight this time! What a hassle it was in Blackpool when you fell off and landed on the big one. Scared LOL

Oh Eleanor, be careful, be very careful if you are hitching a lift on Doreen`s broomstick - she told me the steering mechanism was very dodgy, and the safety net is in tatters. She can`t look after anything properly, her head is all over the place at the moment. I blame the drink.

Don't worry Jean, been in touch with Julie who is knitting a new safety net! The cake has fallen in the middle so I had to eat it, tee hee, but will make another when I regain energy!
